The Community Foundation of Monroe County in conjunction with The Heritage Fund (Richard and Jeanne Micka) provided funds for Victorian chandeliers for The Historic Sawyer Homestead to enhance the ambiance of Victorian mansion listed on the Michigan Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places. The Homestead is owned by The City of Monroe and managed by the Sawyer Homestead Organization for public use. The Homestead is published in multiply publications including National Planners MeetingĀ Guide, Legacy of The River Raisin, Monroe Magazine and others. The site is open Monday-Friday, 9am-noon. Public rentals are available with renters, businesses and tours. The Sawyer Homestead is a member of The Monroe County Chamber of Commerce.
