Greater Milan Area Community Fund

Enhancing
Life in Milan

Since 2005, the Community Foundation of Monroe County (CFMC) has partnered with the Greater Milan Area Community Fund (GMACF) to enrich life in Milan. Established by local leaders Isabelle Schultz, Donald Harkness, and Millard Phillips, GMACF is dedicated to improving Milan’s environmental, educational, economic, and cultural landscape. Together, CFMC and GMACF provide grants, scholarships, and funding to support Milan’s growth and vitality.

Friends of the Community Foundation Fund

Friends of the Community Foundation Fund supports the operational needs of the Monroe County Community Foundation

Robert J. Duffey Administration Endowment

The Robert J. Duffey Administration Endowment Fund was created and endowed by Robert J. Duffey to support the work of the Community Foundation of Monroe County.

Dale Malone Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund to provide scholarships to Monroe & Wayne County residents who are Airport High School graduates enrolling in any public university, college, or trade school studying a field related to community service (i.e. medical, nursing, political science, law enforcement, ROTC, military, teaching, etc…)

Monroe Community Heart Savers Non Endowed Special Project Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to serve as a depository for gifts and other receipts and will be used to purchase and provide on-going maintenance of life-saving equipment, such as AEDs, to be installed in entities across Monroe County. The fund will also be used for the education/training on the use of the equipment.

Robert E. & Valerie Clark Endowed Fund

This fund supports study abroad and international exchange programs for students from Monroe County, with a priority on programs in Monroe’s Sister City, Hofu, Japan. Eligible opportunities include those offered through the Monroe International Friendship Association and accredited post-secondary institutions, in alignment with the Community Foundation’s charitable mission.

Home Builders Association of Monroe County Endowed Fund

The Home Builders Association of Monroe County Endowed Fund supports the annual Robert L. Polk and John D. Kohler Student Design Competition, fostering innovation and excellence in student design. If the competition is ever discontinued, the fund will support the Home Builders Association of Monroe County’s scholarship program, ensuring continued investment in the next generation of builders and designers.

Home Builders Association of Monroe County Endowed Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund provides financial support to Monroe County residents who have graduated from any public or private high school in the county. Scholarships are available for both traditional students enrolling in college, university, or trade school immediately after high school, as well as non-traditional students returning to school after a break, attending part-time, or pursuing a second career.

Bonnie Jean England Endowed Scholarship Fund

This fund will provide scholarships to Monroe County residents who are high school graduates (or equivalent) enrolling in an institution of higher learning.

Michael A. Fanola Endowed Scholarship Fund

This fund will provide scholarships to Monroe County residents who are high school graduates (or equivalent) enrolling in an institution of higher learning.

Cornerstone 100 Lake Erie Bicycle Tour Non-endowed Special Project Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to serve as a depository for gifts and other receipts and distributions that will be used for the production of the Cornerstone 100 Lake Erie Bicycle Tour Event.
