Strategic Engagement Fellow

Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Rural Philanthropy Fellowship

Full-time • Two-Year Fellowship • Begins January 2026

The Community Foundation of Monroe County (CFMC) is excited to host a new Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Rural Philanthropy Fellow, part of a statewide cohort of professionals working to strengthen philanthropy in Michigan’s rural communities.

This two-year fellowship is a rare opportunity to learn, lead, and make a lasting local impact while being part of a group of peers across Michigan and New York who are building the future of community philanthropy together.  Based in Monroe, Michigan, the Fellow will spend a great deal of time traveling throughout the county—meeting residents where they live and work, listening to their stories, and helping transform community priorities into meaningful action.  Fellows benefit from hands-on experience in place-based philanthropy, a personalized professional-development budget, and ongoing learning and mentorship through the Rural Philanthropy Fellows Cohort.  The Fellow will join a highly dedicated Foundation team.
