Greater Milan Area Community Fund

Enhancing
Life in Milan

Since 2005, the Community Foundation of Monroe County (CFMC) has partnered with the Greater Milan Area Community Fund (GMACF) to enrich life in Milan. Established by local leaders Isabelle Schultz, Donald Harkness, and Millard Phillips, GMACF is dedicated to improving Milan’s environmental, educational, economic, and cultural landscape. Together, CFMC and GMACF provide grants, scholarships, and funding to support Milan’s growth and vitality.

Nomadic Nights

Nomadic Nights is a collection of “Night Markets” held in various locations across Monroe County that brings together fun activities, vendors, food, music, educational opportunities, and more for the enjoyment of the Monroe County Community.

Youth Ministries Fund

The Youth Ministries Fund provides for ministry through Christian organizations, focusing on nurturing the spiritual development and meeting the needs of children and teens.

Monroe Rotary Club for Community Services Projects Fund

The Monroe Rotary Club for Community Services Projects Fund supports community service projects that benefit and enhance the quality of life in Monroe County Michigan.

MIFA – Monroe International Friendship Association Fund

The MIFA - Monroe International Friendship Association Fund supports the international exchange programs of the Monroe International Friendship Association (MIFA).

Monroe County D.A.R.E. Fund

The Monroe County D.A.R.E. Fund supports the activities of D.A.R.E., an anti-drug program, in schools throughout Monroe County.

Miss Monroe Pageant Scholarship Fund

The Miss Monroe Pageant Scholarship Fund administers Scholarships for the Miss Monroe Scholarship Pageant participants.

Michigan Jets United 14U Baseball Team Fund

The Michigan Jets United 14U Baseball Team Fund supports fundraising to offset the cost of youth participating in the Michigan Jets United 14U Baseball Team.

Kiwanis North Youth Fund

The Kiwanis North Youth Fund was endowed by the group of the same name. Earnings from the fund support programs and projects for youth throughout Monroe County.

Kellogg Youth Fund

The Kellogg Youth Fund supports programs and projects benefitting the young people of Monroe County, with a preference for those focused on educating, preventing, and treating drug and alcohol abuse among youth.

Court Appointed Advocate (CASA) Fund

The CASA Fund is to benefit the Court Appointed Special Advocacy program in Monroe County. CASA advocates for the best interest of abused and neglected children.
