In years past, The Community Foundation of Monroe County has hosted fundraising events (like The Kentucky Derby and Roast ’em… Toast ’em) in order to raise money for needs in our community.  Due to the pandemic, those events have been on hold for nearly three years and we’re still not ready to continue in-person events once again. 

One of the things we’ve learned over the last few years is that there is a need to be able to respond rapidly to unforeseen events in our community. In order to do that, we hope you will continue to support us as we create a fund for this exact purpose: Compassion Into Action.

The purpose of this endowed fund is to allow us to offer quick responses to emerging needs in our community. We propose that instead of an event, we offer you sponsorship opportunities and give you marketing opportunities in return. We even offer our top donors the privilege to advise on how to spend the funds when the needs arise.
