|Establish a fund in your name.
Any of these funds can be established in your name or in the name of your family, your organization, or any person you wish to honor (minimums apply). All grants distributed from your fund – today and in the future – are then awarded to local charities in the name of your fund. It’s a great way to always be involved with, and remembered for, good works in your community.
Four great giving options. Choose the one that’s right for you. You can donate to an existing fund or establish a fund of your own.
You can use your gift to meet ever-changing community needs – including future needs, which often cannot be anticipated at the time your gift is made. We evaluate all aspects of community well-being – arts and culture, economic development, education, environment, health and human services, neighborhood revitalization, and more. Your unrestricted gift is then used to make a difference where it is needed most.
You can target your gift to address needs in an important area of community life. You identify your personal interest area when making your gift; our board awards grants to community agencies and programs that are making a difference in the area you select.
You can direct your gift to a specific agency or purpose. Help provide ongoing funding for the American Red Cross, the Humane Society, the Senior Center, your church, or virtually any non-profit organization. You identify the recipient you wish to benefit through your gift; our staff manages the annual distribution of funds.
You can have ongoing involvement in the use of your gift. You work with our professional grantmaking committee, identifying ways to use dollars from your fund to address the community needs you care about most. Your recommendations are submitted to our Board of Trustees for approval; we then manage distribution of your grant dollars.
